How does it works?

Food is put on trays in the kitchen and passed by servers.
Guests serve themselves, using cocktail napkins provided by the Butler.
This is a typical style of service used for upscale receptions.
This style of service is only appropriate for “finger food.”

FAQ

Do you offer full-service catering?

Yes, we are a full-service catering company. We can provide bar service, kitchen staff, and coordination of rentals for events of any type and size.

What is your minimum order?

Deliveries (Monday–Friday):
• $200.00 food spend (before tax)

Deliveries (Saturday & Sunday):
• $500.00 food spend per order

Full-Service Catering:
• $1,000.00 food spend (before tax) for Monday–Friday
• $1,500.00 food spend per order for Saturday & Sunday

Please note: Minimum spending may increase during the high season on weekends.

How can I receive a full, detailed quote faster and avoid unexpected charges?

To ensure a quick and accurate quote, please include the following in your inquiry:

  • Event date
  • Full event location address
  • Event start and end time, with service details
  • Any dietary restrictions
  • Your budget, if applicable
  • Please ensure your event location has access to a basic kitchen or prep space. If a kitchen is not available, the venue must permit us to bring in equipment rented from a third-party rental company. Any necessary equipment will be added to your quote, along with applicable delivery fees.

Do you offer tastings?

Yes, we offer tastings on our premises starting at $75 per guest + HST.
Pickup tastings are priced based on the selected menu items.
All tastings must be paid in full at least 3 days in advance.

When is the latest I can place an order?

For delivery-only orders, we recommend placing your order at least 10 days in advance.
We can accommodate simple food-only orders with a minimum of 48–72 hours’ notice, depending on availability.
For full-service events, as much advance notice as possible is greatly appreciated to ensure the highest level of service and preparation.

When is the latest I can make changes to my existing order?

  • Food changes must be submitted no later than 5 days before the event during the low season (January to April), and no later than 10 days before the event during the high season (May to December).
  • Changes to scheduled delivery times must be made at least one week prior to the event.

We will do our best to accommodate any requests made after these deadlines; however, we cannot guarantee availability or feasibility.

Please note: Last-minute changes to table settings may disrupt service flow. Parlato’s is not responsible for any delays or disruptions caused by changes made to pre-scheduled and programmed plated service.

What is your delivery fee?

Delivery fees are calculated based on the destination's postal code, total distance (km), order size, required service, and other delivery-related factors.
We recommend contacting us via phone or email to confirm delivery availability and cost for your location.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept the following:

  • Major credit cards
  • E-transfer
  • Certified cheque
  • EFT

Credit Card Processing Fees:

  • Visa & MasterCard: 2.5%
  • AMEX: 3.5%

How can I book my catering service?

To confirm your booking, you must sign the proposal contract and submit a deposit.

  • For small to medium orders: 50% deposit required
  • For large orders over $10,000: 25% deposit required

Final payment is due no later than 5 days before the event. No orders will be fulfilled without full payment.

What is your cancellation policy?

60–90 days before event: 50% of the contract total will be owed to the caterer

30–59 days before event: 50% of the deposit will be retained

1–29 days before event: 100% of the deposit will be retained
